Junior Sailing Programs at WYC

JUNIOR SAILING VIDEO

Fun, Safe Sailing on Westlake Lake

Westlake Yacht Club operates a comprehensive Junior Sailing Program for young adults ages 9 to 18 that includes a summer sailing academy, regatta participation at WYC and other yacht clubs, as well as family sailing.

Our mission is to support junior sailors as they experience the joy of sailing, the development of their skills, and their growth as Corinthian sailors.

Our goal is to promote sportsmanship and teamwork among all our sailors. We are dedicated to developing sailors who will enjoy the excitement and challenge of sailing throughout their lives.

Westlake Yacht Club supports the Junior Sailing Program for all members and non-members. The Junior Activities Committee is responsible for organizing, supervising, and directing the junior training program. The Club is committed to teaching sailing, focusing on fundamentals of safety and fun with supervision and encouragement.
